About Joe Doran

Joe Doran is a licensed Texas real estate agent with Brand X Land & Ranch Group and Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper, REALTORS®. He helps clients buy and sell land, ranches, rural homes, recreational properties, and commercial acreage.

Before entering real estate, Joe built a career in electrical engineering, embedded systems, and software development. He founded Cortexa, a home-automation technology company that Herman Miller later acquired. He continues to work with local artificial intelligence, automation, and connected sensor systems—experience that gives him a practical, analytical approach to evaluating and marketing property.

Joe also owns and operates his own Texas ranch. His firsthand experience includes livestock, fencing, wells and water systems, solar power, equipment, land maintenance, and property improvements. This working knowledge helps him recognize the practical details that can affect how rural property is used, maintained, and valued.

A private pilot and FAA Part 107-certified remote pilot, Joe founded Aerialcam Media LLC in 2008. Through professional photography, aerial cinematography, mapping, and video production, he has spent years helping buyers understand a property’s layout and helping sellers clearly present its land, water, access, improvements, and unique character.

Joe combines technology, ranch experience, visual storytelling, and straightforward communication to help clients make well-informed real estate decisions. He believes in representing property honestly, preparing carefully, and treating every client’s goals and investment with respect.
